Whoop-de Doo

Happy Friday eveyone.

The last few days have seen some light posting as my company laid a bunch of people off yesterday. I had been in the office until about 9 - 10:00 each night, getting up a 6 am for calls to Asia. So, all work and no play makes David Lee Roth jump from drum-risers half-heartedly.

Also, I've been a bit bored with writing lately. Current events-wise, I'm glad that the Bush Admistration has being going on the rhetorical offensive in defending the execution of the war, but there isn't much to say that I have said, oh, about 1,532 times. Believe it or not, I actually want to say something when I write, instead of rehashing old crap with different analogies and better movie references than the time before. I've been following the news, but I just don't have much to add this week.

I'm glad I'm not a pundit for a living. Being required to have an opinion on everything would be really exhausting and, well, boring. Sometimes it is great to say, I don't care about that at all. Like, "I'm agnostic as to the authenticity of George Bush's Texas roots." If I was a pundit, I would immediately be required to dig deep down inside this "issue" to be informed enough to write a 14 paragraph "opinion" on the TRUTH man.

Or, I could go for the NY Times editorial approach and just hit my left knee with one of those rubber mallets and write about it.

Man, I could do that job. What are the hours?
