Ok, ok. One more thing before I leave on vacation.

Marc Schulman has a great post up about the Carter Doctrine and Iran.

This is very timely, as it looks like we are going to get stonewalled in the Security Council by China and Russia while Iran continues its blatantly belligerent behavior. I think they are betting that we don't have the stomach for more.

Had no idea you had me blogrolled. I'm guessing you found me through One Hand Clapping, since that is the only site you have blogrolled that I've commented on.

I'll read through some of your archives a bit, but seems like you've got yourself a decent blog here.

Thanks for blogrolling me.

Russia and China will never support us in the UN. Whatever we're for, they will be against. Whoever we have a beef with, the Russkies and Chicoms will side with them.

Russia and China expose the true fallacy among the internationalists in western society (ie. Howard Dean, Wesley Clark, John Kerry) that try to prop up the UNSC as the arbitrator of global defense and security. Frankly that's a joke and anyone with a teaspoon of common sense and objectivety can see that both Russia and China have been arming our enemies and propping up obstacles to hold third rate despots accountable. They both grip at the thought of American hegemony and will try to undermine any attempts to broaden U.S. influence (and the influence of democracy, free media, transparency, etc).

Senator McCain warned Russia and China three days ago that their credibility was on the line and frankly if they don't want to take a tough stance on Iran or other despots who they share strong energy, trade and financial ties with, then we should be equally as unaccomadating when it comes to security issues for Russia and China. In some senses the Cold War goes on, at a lesser frequency and tone then years gone by, but it nonetheless is still there in the great game.
